Awesome. might have prefered for the new "her" to be a little less comfortable with her new shape, but eh, still amazing. I'd pay $15 to get this comic in a pdf; I highly recommend talking to the tgcomics.com people!
Nope. Too many individuals have blown my trust and taken advantage of me posting my older comics. And it's not just me. Many other artists are having the same problems lately. Just not cool. The lack of respect from a few have caused some of us to be much more protective.
I wait patiently the novelization of this story, by Wayne Zimmermann. It is fabulous! One small question ... Michael and Christian (the dead boy) are really brothers ... One is redhead with green eyes and a brown with blue eyes. But it appears that Christian passed him by his brother and asked parley. And another thing. Does the pendant with the figure of a duck is not very valuable to a cabin boy?
Enlistments at that times for ships, was done by force along the coast, including for the boats of his Majestys as prisons, slaves and Cadet from "petty nobility" fed the crews; The subject of the pendant looks more like a swan (a symbol of Christian nobility) I'd like to read the book, where can I find it? Kiss Isa
Thanks Piko... I literally just finished reading the last chapter of the novel Wayne has been writing. It's very cool. He's gotten a few notes from me, and has some cleaning up to do, but I dont think it will be much longer until he releases it.
Hopefully some of the questions you have above will be clarified for you in the novel. Including Michael's pendant
I think it's wonderful to be developed much more history. I'ma Spanish reader and use the dictionary to translate much, but the video vignettes have been impressive. "Avast ye!" "Parley" "Landlubber" are expressions that he had no opportunity to read. How Michael / Red makes fools bait to hunt pirates who want to marry her? Where did the pirate captain that skull fucking? What plans had (originally) to Michael after processing?I bite my nails on my nerves!
WOuld be a nice update to TGC for the new year if I do say so myself. I like the video, but youtube quality I fear removes some of the effect. I can't just marvel at each individual page, and frankly your more recent works are much finer thanwhat's already been uploaded to pure comic.
I know. Seems to be showing up a lot. Especially in what I've been doing. I think it's more a coincidence than anything else on my part. I have a number of things coming out this year - that do focus on more than redheads Either way - you can't go wrong with any color in my book!!!
I saw this over on YouTube... Excellent video! Only nit I have was the pirate having to kill the older boy. The violent nature of his death took away from the enjoyment I got from the rest of it, including the transformation. Your collaborator is very, very talented!
Thanx . The act of harming the older brother was a means to show how brutal and scary The Captain really is. Sorry it distracted you... But it was always a point in the story so that Michael would also fear for his life too.
Well, you do what you gotta do. Please tell your collaboragtor that they do excellent work. Between Blackshirtboy, and this person, you have quite a posse of artists, along with the folks who work with you on the films! Thanks & Happy New Year! - Paula
Extremely well done! The artwork was superb, and the transition was wonderful to watch. I wish that the captain would have had the skull backfire on him though. Sort of revenge on killing the brother, but perhaps a sequel? Arrr! I be a pirate lass!
No doubt!!! They would completely blind side every other Pirate Vessel. Just imagine - they use their looks to get all the other male Pirates to back down and think it was a joke - then BAM!!!! Their ship goes down before they ever knew what hit them
Actually…what might happen is the skull was probably stolen from some powerful Caribbean deity; duh, like they're pirates right? Anyway the pissed off deity placed a special curse upon the sacred object. Over a period of time the one's responsible for stealing the skull would become beautiful women forever, or at least until they return what they have stolen (ughh! That last line is straight out of "Time Bandits"). Umm…where was I? Ah yes, the captain thinking if they return the skull they would break the curse, but that of course is ridiculous because this is a Mako story!
Island deity looks upon the captain and her crew, "Come now captain, surely you would not have my feelings hurt by refusing the gift I gave you and your lovely crew?"
The captain was furious, "We gave you back your skull; now give us back what we lost!"
The deity laughed out loud, "Lost? You've gained so much more than you can possibly imagine. Use your new seductive powers I have bestowed to you and any man on land or sea will be helpless before you! Plunder all you wish, and no man will ever harm a single hair on your lovely head!"
A crewmate spoke up spitting toward the deity, "What good is treasure when I can't rape a pretty young wench! Change us back now you demented demon!"
The deity's eye's narrowed, he pointed at the one who spoke and smiled, "You wish me to change you? Very well, as a favor to you!"
The crewmate started changing, but only her lower half. She was becoming a mermaid and had the irresistible urge to slip into the nearby lagoon. She swam away flipping her tailfin in indignation.
The deity turned to face the captain, "So will you accept the new you, or would you like to join your former mate?"
The captain gulped nervously, "Stay the way we are! Yes, we can get used to it," she turned to her crew, "Right lassies!"
All shouted, "Eye Captain Barbara Barossa!"
No man whoever comes across the pirate ladies has ever been able to withstand their charms. They strip them clean of all their wealth, yet each man can only smile with a dreamy expression upon their face when recalling their encounter.
Ahhhh... the origins of 'the skull' is a mystery isn't it? Could be a story for another day... perhaps? I do like to leave some things open ended. Especially when it involves a mythology. Thanks Sire!!!
